JDS Computer Donations

While we are always grateful to anyone who wishes to donate any computer or hardware to us, keep in mind that there are some things that are too old for us to use, the desktop computers must be at least a 1.4 Ghz Pentium 4, or any Pentium 4 with an XP Lic . If you don't know the processor speed then use the rule of thumb of not more than 5 years old. Laptop computers must at least P III 1 Ghz. The desktop computer must work. A donated monitor must work because often the cost of repairing one exceeds the cost of a new one, and must be at least a 17" monitor. We also accept web cam's, USB drives, DVD's, music cd's, digital cameras (Must work), laser printers Keep in mind that all donations are tax deductible. If you are going to remove the hard drive from your laptop before you donate it make sure you send the hard drive caddy and the ATAPI/IDE adapter, the machine is useless with out those parts.
